Ortensia Visconti was born in Rome. She gained her degree at Paris from the Sorbonne in French and comparative literature, and studied photo-journalism at the London School of Photo-journalism. Since 2000 she has worked for important newspapers as a war correspondent. She worked as a freelance photographer for the Washington Post in Algeria , in 2001 she was in Afghanistan writing for Il Messaggero, moving to Pakistan in 2002. She participated in the photographic exhibition “Afghanistan fermo immagine” at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome and exhibited at the Galerie Valerie Cueto in Paris. In 2003 she was in Iraq writing for La Repubblica and acting as a correspondent for La7. In 2004 she returned to Afghanistan working for La Repubblica, Il Venerdi di La Repubblica and L’Indipendente.
In 2004 her firts novel Stregonesco was published by Fazi Editore. And in 2007 she published Open Letter to Fidel Castro, by Fazi Editore.

Alessandra Magnaghi was born in Rome in 1976. Having gained a degree in Philosophy at Rome University (La Sapienza), She took her doctorate in Aesthetics at the University of Bologna and studied directing at NYFA in New York. She has published articles on philosophy in academic periodicals (Estetica, Il Melangolo) and a short story “Icaro 2006″ for Marsilio Editore. She works as a scriptwriter for Medusa, Acaba Production, Mediaset, De Angelis Group, and in 2007 her first script “Come tu mi vuoi” direct by Volfango De Biasi came out in the cinemas.
Since 2005 she has made short films that were competed at various Italian festivals among which are “Lasciami andare”, “Tracce” and “Tutto per Niente”, co-produced by RAI Sat and RAI Cinema.
In 2006 she produced the format Video-Curriculum for Luiss and was in charge of the audivisual communication of Itaca, the association of students at Luiss.
